2021 Jingle Bell Run Honorees

Teresa Sutter
Rheumatoid Arthritis
Adult Honoree

Teresa was diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis (RA) approximately 30 years ago. While she is doing fantastic now, it’s been a long road with many dark years when her RA was extremely active which lead to some joint deformity. For Teresa living with RA has been a journey - it’s taken her years to find the right combination of exercise, diet, and a balance between Western and Eastern medicines on her road to wellness. Teresa hopes we find a cure, that biologic and disease-modifying medications can be more affordable for all, regardless of insurance, and she would like to see universal health care coverage.

June Kenoe
Psoriatic Arthritis
Child Honoree

June enjoys going for nighttime walks with a flashlight, scooter walks, bike rides, gymnastics and tea parties. June also has a dog named Wren who was such a good companion for her throughout her diagnosis. June wants to be a veterinarian when she grows up and loves to pretend to play with her pups.

As a parent, June’s mom hopes that June stays in remission. Katie says, “I hope she stays cheerful and optimistic through any hardship, and spreads joy and hope for kids starting their JIA journey. I hope June uses her experiences to help fuel her passions and pursuits in life, and harness them in a positive way. “
