The Arthritis Foundation’s original Jingle Bell Run is a fun way to get decked out and be festive, while racing to raise funds and awareness to cure America’s #1 cause of disability.

Event Day Schedule - December 11, 2021

  • 7:30 a.m. - Event Day Check-in and Registration Opens
  • 8:30 a.m. - Kids' Fun Run
  • 8:45 am. - Registration Closes
  • 9:00 a.m. - Timed 5k Begins
  • 9:05 a.m. - Untimed 5k Begins
  • 9:10 a.m. - 1 mile Walk Begins
  • 10 a.m. - Post-race Awards Ceremony Begins

5K Timed – Includes shirt and jingle bells.

$30 - Until Aug. 31 at 11:59 p.m. 
$35 - Sept. 1 to Oct. 31 at 11:59 p.m.
$40 - Nov. 1 to Dec. 9 at Noon (online pre-registration closes)
$45 - Dec. 10 - 11 (day of event)

5K Untimed – Includes shirt and jingle bells.

$25 - Until Aug. 31 at 11:59 p.m. 
$30 - Sept. 1 to Oct. 31 at 11:59 p.m.

Registration fees and donations cannot be refunded. Your fundraising dollars are put to work immediately and enable the Arthritis Foundation to continue critical programs and services in our community.

Packet Pickup

Friday, December 10 from 4:00 - 7:00 p.m. at Road Runner Sports (1435 N Kingsbury Street, Chicago, IL)

Event Day Details

  • Pre and post-race activities are conducted indoors. We will have food, water, and broadcast announcements outside for those who do not feel comfortable coming inside the venue.
  • Course Marshal Map 
  • Parking Information - Public Parking is conveniently located one block north of the Museum at Clark and LaSalle Streets. Enter on Stockton Drive: 1730 N Stockton Dr. If the sign says “Lot Full” ring the intercom and let the staff person know that you are attending an event at Chicago History Museum.

Parking in the public parking area will be $9 with Museum Validation. Please remember to take your parking ticket with you into the Museum. You can validate your parking at the front desk of the Museum. Visa, MasterCard, and Discover credit cards are accepted. Specially located spots are reserved for persons using mobility devices.

  • Pets are not permitted at the Chicago History Museum
  • Strollers welcome
  • Costumes are encouraged! Costume contest prizes are given to team and individual winners.
  • Finisher Medals - All participants will receive a finisher medal upon completion of the Jingle Bell Run 5k and 1 mile.
  • Top Finishers - Prizes are given to the top three male and top three female overall finishers for the timed 5k. Top Age Group Finishers - Medals are given to the top three male and top three female 5k timed finishers in each age group (top 3 male and female overall finishers are taken out of the age group division). The age groups are: 14 and under, 15 – 19, 20 – 24, 25 – 29, 30 – 34, 40 – 44, 45 – 49, 50 – 54, 55 – 59, 60 – 64, 65 – 69, 70 – 74, 75 – 79, 80+
