Event Information

The Arthritis Foundation’s original Jingle Bell Run is a fun way to get decked out and be festive, while racing to raise funds and awareness to cure America’s #1 cause of disability.

  • Dogs on leashes (6-foot maximum) are permitted at Jingle Bell Run-Pittsburgh provided the following criteria is met:
    • Dogs must be leashed at all times and with an individual who is a registered participant, 18 years of age or older, who has signed the waiver/release.
    • All dogs must have their current shots.
    • Participants must bring appropriate waste removal bags and are responsible for waste clean-up.
  • It is at the sole discretion of an Arthritis Foundation staff member to remove a dog whose participant does not adhere to the above guidelines or if the behavior of the dog is considered by the staff member to be unruly, aggressive or hazardous to other participants, dogs and the general public.

  • 8:00 a.m. - Registration/Packet Pick-up (bibs/t-shirts), DJ, and Health & Wellness Expo
  • 9:00 a.m. - Holiday Costume Contest & Dog Costume Contest
  • 9:15 a.m. - Kids Fun Run (100-yard dash)
  • 9:30 a.m. - Opening Ceremony
  • 9:45 a.m. - Pre-Race Warm-up
  • 10:00 a.m. - 5K Run/Walk Begins at Starting Line
  • 11:00 a.m. - Awards Ceremony

Jingle Bell Run Pricing

5K Timed – Includes shirt, finisher medal, and jingle bells.

$30 - Until Aug. 31 at 11:59 p.m. 
$35 - Sept. 1 to Oct. 31 at 11:59 p.m.
$40 - Nov. 1 to Dec. 2
$45 - Dec. 3 to Dec. 4 (day of event)

Kids Fun Run (100-yard dash – Includes shirt, finisher medal, and jingle bells.

$15 - Until Aug. 31 at 11:59 p.m. 
$20 - Sept. 1 to Oct. 31 at 11:59 p.m.
$25 - Nov. 1 to Dec. 2
$30 - Dec. 3 to Dec. 4 (day of event)

Virtual Jingler - Can’t attend the event, but still want to be part of the fun? Choose this option to receive a shirt and fundraise for a cure!
$30 - Until Dec. 4 (day of event)

Registration fees and donations cannot be refunded. Your fundraising dollars are put to work immediately and enable the Arthritis Foundation to continue critical programs and services in our community.

Event Day Details

  • Come dressed in your best festive gear for our Holiday Costume Contest . . . and don’t forget to dress “Fido,” for the Dog Costume Contest!
  • Parking information – Parking is limited; please carpool if possible! There is NO PARKING available on race day at the Boathouse. Parking options include:
    • Parking available at the Rose Barn lot across the street from the Boathouse
    • Additional parking is available at the Spillway lot on Babcock Blvd (1/2 mile away)
    • Parking also available at the North Park Skating Rink for your pre-race warm-up (1 mile away)
  • Strollers welcome.
  • Registration will take place in the North Park Rose Barn on Pearce Mill Road across from the Boathouse.

  • Award categories: The top three female/male winners overall and the top 40+ female/male winners will receive awards, along with the top three female and male winners in the following age categories: 10 & Under, 11-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+
