Dr. Sonali Desai

 Dr. Sonali Desai is an Assistant Professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School and a practicing rheumatologist. She is a native of Massachusetts and attended both college and medical school at Brown University in Rhode Island. She completed her internal medicine residency and Chief residency at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston, her rheumatology fellowship at BWH, and her Master’s in Public Health at the Harvard School of Public Health. She serves as the Medical Director of Ambulatory Patient Safety at Brigham and Women’s Hospital and the Medical Director of Quality for the Department of Medicine. Dr. Desai has been practicing rheumatology for over 15 years and has led numerous efforts to improve the quality of care for patients with rheumatoid arthritis, lupus, osteoporosis, and other conditions.

Gianna Stellato is a published author of a kids book series, Football Magic. One of the main characters in the book deals with autoimmune diseases. She uses the book to not only help spread awareness about autoimmune diseases but to also inspire those children facing them. Football Magic is endorsed by Bill Belichick and Doug Flutie. In her free time Gianna enjoys dancing and acting. She was diagnosed with arthritis when she was six and psoriatic arthritis at twelve.
