Congratulations to the Team of the Week

Team Carter's Bug Show

Carter was diagnosed with juvenile idiopathic arthritis when he was 6 years old. He had surgeries on his knees and ankles, and then had to have his tonsils out due to the medication he was on causing complications. In addition to medication and western medicines, he did yoga, physical therapy, occupational therapy, acupuncture, and got into sports like American Ninja Warrior where he could use his upper body more than his lower body. He also had / has a radio show at Children's Hospital Colorado called "Carter's Bug Show" that he hosts when he is at the hospital.

Carter is now playing lacrosse, acting in his school Musical, still doing Ninja (competing on a team as covid allows), learning to scuba dive, and is as active as any 12 year old boy. He would tell you that his arthritis has allowed him to help others. By raising money, he helps kids to go to camp, helps kids and adults to have better access to medicines and therapies, and is helping to find a cure for this terrible disease.

No amount is too small -- For example, the application fee for a child to go to a week-long sleep away camp for kids with Arthritis is $100. For those families who can't afford that application fee - it is waived -- so just think -- if 10 people give $10 each, those 10 people pay for a kiddo to attend that special camp and have the experience of a lifetime. The Arthritis Foundation covers the cost of the entire camp experience.

Obviously, 2020 / 2021 have been difficult, but if you are able to donate, please consider donating to the Arthritis Foundation and together we can find a cure!!!
