2020 Jingle Bell Run Honorees

Katelyn Pack
Rheumatoid Arthritis
Adult Honoree

35-year-old Katelyn Pack is no stranger to arthritis. Having watched her sister Kelly struggle with juvenile idiopathic arthritis as a child, Katelyn knew the telltale signs when symptoms appeared, and was subsequently diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis at the age of 21.

The 2020 Jingle Bell Run Adult Honoree will be participating with her husband Sean and two children in the Arthritis Foundation’s Virtual Jingle Bell Run Michigan this December. “For someone who is very active, I’m very lucky to continue doing what I love to do,” she explains. Taylor Gray
Polyarticular Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis
Young Adult Honoree

Optimism keeps 22-year-old Taylor Gray looking toward the future, especially with her December graduation from Michigan State University. The 2020 Jingle Bell Run Young Adult honoree was diagnosed with polyarticular Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis before her first birthday, and has spent her life being actively involved with The Arthritis Foundation.

Taylor credits looking for the bright side in everything to keep her going, no matter how small.“It’s a disease that no one wants, but you have to look at the people you meet, the experiences you have, and all the good that comes from it,” she explains.

Katie Maxwell
Seropositive Polyarticular Arthritis
Youth Honoree

Jingle Bell Run 2020 Youth Honoree Katie Maxwell won’t let her arthritis stop her from getting her jingle on this winter.

“I was a very active athlete, playing basketball, volleyball and running track. Then everything changed when I was diagnosed with Seropositive Polyarticular Arthritis at the age of 12.

It’s been a long and challenging road, and while it will be a lifelong journey, I hope other kids will know that things can improve. Last month, I went running for the first time in two years.”
