Brianna Reeves
Mixed Connective Tissue Disease Arthritis
Adult Honoree - Tampa

Brianna is 23 and this is her 10-year anniversary of living with arthritis. She was diagnosed with Mixed Connective Tissue Disease (an overlap of juvenile arthritis, lupus and scleroderma). She started attending Camp JRA, which helped her learn to manage her disease and allowed her to find a support system. After her time as a camper she became a counselor and loved making camp impactful for others.

In 2018 Brianna graduated from The University of Tampa and is now a Marketing Manager. She’s honored to be the Adult Honoree and is excited to share her arthritis journey. She provides resources for those with juvenile arthritis and has started her own blog and social platform, “That Girl With Arthritis”, to raise awareness and build community.

Alicia Morrison
Rheumatoid Arthritis
Adult Honoree - Orlando

Ali was diagnosed with RA in 2014, just as she graduated college. The diagnosis was overwhelming and upsetting. She found the right medications and her pain decreased significantly. Ali had been invited to a Jingle Bell Run the year prior to diagnosis, and now the event became a source of pure inspiration. Ali loves being surrounded by loving, caring, inspiring people who share unique challenges concerning arthritis. She also enjoys dressing up in holiday attire, supporting the cause and smiling like crazy as she walks through fake snow singing all the way.

Ali says, “The Arthritis Foundation gave me a voice and a reason to share my story with the world. Though 2020 has been challenging in a myriad of ways I know that my steadfast community will continue to uplift me in these hard times. We can band together and find creative solutions like never before. That is the spirit of Live Yes!”
