2020 Walk to Cure Arthritis Honorees

Harper Shook
Juvenile Psoriatic Arthritis
Youth Honoree

Harper has been living with juvenile arthritis for 10 years. Her family discovered there was a problem when she suddenly stopped walking at 9 months old.  At 18 months she had her first arthroscopy, followed by more tests and doctors’ visits that led to the wonderful medical professionals at Scottish Rite Hospital.

“There has no doubt been moments of fear and worry, but we are GRATEFUL!  We are grateful to have organizations like the Arthritis Foundation to offer support and guidance outside of the doctor offices and to live in a day and age where advancements are being made every day so that I and others like me can live happy normal lives.”
