Alicia Nelson
Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis
Youth Honoree

Alicia was diagnosed with juvenile idiopathic arthritis (JIA) 11 years ago. Since the time of her diagnosis, she has experienced ongoing trial and error in finding the right medicine that will work for her. She has tried pills, shots, steroid injections, infusions, etc. and has yet to figure out what will work best for her but she is not giving up! She is honored to have been chosen as the Walk to Cure Arthritis Seattle Youth Honoree and is hopeful that one day there will be a cure for this disease and that more people understand that kids get arthritis too! Davis Morris
Dog Honoree

Davis, a sweet black lab, was diagnosed with arthritis earlier this year. Davis and his family are in the process of finding the right type and timing of medications to ensure that he can continue his daily hikes at Greenbank Farm on Whidbey Island without pain.

Davis is honored to serve as the inaugural Dog Honoree at this year's Walk to Cure Arthritis Seattle! Davis will blaze new trails to a lifetime of Yes — while raising funds for resources and research to find better treatments and a cure.
