Shara Goff
Juvenile Rheumatoid Arthritis
Adult Honoree

Shara is honored to serve as the adult honoree for the Walk to Cure Arthritis and improve the quality of life for those living with arthritis!

She is 47-years-old and was diagnosed with juvenile rheumatoid arthritis (JRA) at eight-years-old but has displayed symptoms since she was 15 months old.

In addition to JRA, Shara was diagnosed with aplastic anemia at 39, a rare life-threatening blood disorder where the bone marrow doesn't produce enough red blood cells, white blood cells and platelets.

She says, "I wouldn't be here today if it wasn't for the quality of care, I have been receiving at Nebraska Medicine and the Arthritis Foundation!"
