Landon Potts
Juvenile Arthritis
Youth Honoree

Our youth honoree, 12-year-old Landon, was diagnosed with arthritis right after he turned 10. At first, he started to notice pain in his left knee. He did not think much of it, but his mom was concerned that he was limping all the time. Landon’s mom had just been diagnosed with arthritis herself, so when he started having pain and then swelling, she wondered if he might have arthritis, too. After giving Landon blood tests, his pediatrician thought he had arthritis and referred him to a rheumatologist in Iowa City. After trying steroids and other medicines to no avail, he just started Humira and that is going well so far! Learn more about Landon's journey here.
