Krista Jauregui
Juvenile Rheumatoid Arthritis
Teen Honoree

Krista was diagnosed with Polyarticular Juvenile Rheumatoid Arthritis at the age of seven.  Krista is thankful for the wonderful treatment she receives from her Pediatric Rheumatologist, Dr. Ruy Carrasco in Austin, Texas.

Most people who meet Krista would not know about her diagnosis, as she strives to live the life of an average thirteen-year-old who refuses to let Arthritis define who she is or what she can accomplish.

Being selected as the Teen Honoree for the 2020 Walk to Cure Arthritis is a great honor because the Arthritis Foundation has been a large part of Krista’s successful journey.

Audrina Jo Villarreal
Juvenile Psoriatic Arthritis
Youth Honoree

Audrina was diagnosed with Juvenile Psoriatic Arthritis at the age of 4. For 2 years she received Occupational Therapy and Physical therapy to assist with her range of motion in her right arm.

In 2018 Audrina underwent a steroid injection to help with the swelling in her right arm. She currently takes Methotrexate injections weekly, Humira injections biweekly and Folic Acid daily. Audrina continues to live life to the fullest despite having JA. We are grateful for Dr. Cole at Santa Rosa Children’s Hospital.

Your support of the Arthritis Foundation ensures further research for a cure and the continued ability for Audrina and over 25,000 children in Texas Live Yes! in spite of their Juvenile Arthritis.
