Brandi Stevens, MD
Riley Hospital
Medical Honoree

Dr. Brandi Stevens is a pediatric rheumatologist and serves as Medical Co-Director of the Arthritis Foundation Indiana Board.

During medical school, she found it especially fulfilling to help children fight arthritis and partner with their parents for what can be a long and difficult journey. In 2017, she graduated fellowship, joined the Division of Pediatric Rheumatology at Riley Hospital for Children, and developed debilitating arthritis. Knowing the resources and compassion offered to her own patients, she turned to the Arthritis Foundation for support. With medication, self-care, and visits with her own rheumatologist, Dr. Stevens continues to help others impacted by arthritis.

Dr. Stevens and her husband, Chris settled in Indiana. They have two dogs, Berkeley and Hank, and one treacherous cat, Tripoli. Join Dr. Stevens and her team, Riley Rheumatology, in the fight against arthritis. Register or donate today!

Jenny Schue
Rheumatoid Arthritis
Adult Honoree

When Jenny was 18 and a freshman in college, she was diagnosed with a rare condition called Dermatomyositis. She went on to finish pharmacy school, get her degree, and eventually marry her husband, Jeremy. Unfortunately the dermatomyositis flared up again. Jenny is very lucky that as soon as she got on a biologic medication, she was virtually pain free. She now mostly stays home taking care of her two children, but works occasionally as a pharmacist.

She is thankful for the support of her family and friends through her journey with arthritis and wants to give others diagnosed with arthritis hope for the future. Join Jenny and her team, Shufflin' Schues, in the fight against arthritis. Register or donate today!

Eliza Houghton
Systemic Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis
Youth Honoree

Eliza’s medical journey began when she was 10 months old. She was told “it is only a virus,” however, mom knew something was wrong and they kept pushing. She was diagnosed with atypical Kawasaki Disease, and an MRI confirmed arthritis in her neck, shoulders, elbows, wrists, knees, and ankles and she received the diagnosis of “polyarthritis with systemic features,” not classic signs of SJIA. Eliza currently gets a monthly shot, Ilaris, to control whole body inflammation and frequent labs. She is sick often and misses school, but continues to fight hard. Eliza just recently turned 3 and is a happy, healthy, rambunctious little girl.
