Ruby Fritzel
Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis
Youth Honoree

Ruby was diagnosed with juvenile Iidiopathic arthritis in April 2018 after swollen joints, an asymmetrical gait, and restricted mobility led them to pediatric rheumatology at Children’s Mercy. They also met local warrior families who give them direction and solidarity - these kids are amazing! Ruby puts great effort into conquering her weekly immunosuppressant shots, keeping her body strong, and making intuitive food decisions to feel her best. She is aiming high to bring research and healing to so many affected by arthritis.
