Brandy Bosta Colbert is proud to be the Corporate Chairwoman for 2020 Walk to Cure Arthritis. Brandy brings years of experience working with non-profit organizations, as she developed, managed and marketed philanthropic loyalty programs for grocery retailers nationwide.

Currently, she is the Director of Marketing and Business Development at Champ Printing, a full-service commercial printing company in Coraopolis, PA.

Brandy lives in the South Hills with her husband, Scott, who is the owner of Champ Printing. Together, they are dedicated to giving back to Pittsburgh’s non-profit community. As of February 2020, Brandy has joined the Pittsburgh Leadership Board.


Tom Walker
Osteoarthritis
Honorary Chair

Tom Walker is a husband, father, former MLB pitcher and an arthritis patient. He has faced many obstacles and tough opponents throughout his life. His greatest opponent thus far has been arthritis.

Tom has been fighting arthritis for over 40 years, it began in his mid-twenties when diagnosed with gout and ended his career as a baseball player due to Osteoarthritis.  Tom is an Arthritis Foundation advocate and has shared his arthritis story at many events to thousands of individuals. Tom has committed to being part of the journey to find a cure. Tom has personally raised more than $100,000!

 


Dr. Daniel Kietz, MD, PhD
Pediatric Rheumatology
Medical Honoree

Dr. Kietz is a Pediatric Rheumatologist at UPMC Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh. His patients love him because he makes a difference in their lives. His patients are children, adolescents and young adults with chronic autoimmune conditions or inflammatory diseases.

Dr. Kietz prepared for his role as clinician educator at UPMC Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh through training, including Medical School and Internship in Internal Medicine in Frankfurt, Germany, Residency in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics in St. Louis, MO , fellowship in Pediatric and Adult Rheumatology at St. Louis University Medical Center. Dr. Kietz has expertise in children’s, adolescents’ and adults’ emotional health and addresses the emotional needs of his patients.


Natalie Jones
Juvenile Arthritis
Youth Honoree

Natalie Jones is what most people would consider to be a typical twelve-year-old girl. Natalie loves horses and wants to be a veterinarian. However, Natalie is not a typical adolescent, she was recently diagnosed with Juvenile Rheumatoid Arthritis. Both Natalie and her brother are among the 300,000 children with arthritis. Natalie experiences pain, stiffness, swelling, fevers and rashes on her ankles, knees, hips, wrists, fingers and jaw! Natalie takes 4 medications to help control her chronic disease. Natalie is grateful for the generous donations people have made in her honor and she is Jonesin for a Cure!

 

 


Melissa
Seronegative Rheumatoid Arthritis
Adult Honoree

Melissa is a wife, a mother and has seronegative rheumatoid arthritis. Melissa does not let her illness define who she is. She has found ways to live her best life, utilizing resources and programs provided by the Arthritis Foundation. Melissa, volunteers for the Arthritis Foundation. She teaches “Breaking the Pain Chain” to newly diagnosed arthritis patients and is a Walk to Cure Arthritis Committee Chair. Melissa’s message is simple but powerful, “We are not on this journey alone, there is help and support available”. Please join me in the fight against arthritis. You can help make a difference!

 

 


Richard Crum
Veteran Champion

Bio for Richard Crum - Richard Crum of Uniontown, PA, is a Disabled Vietnam Veteran who spent 13 years as a Submariner. He was honored to serve and received several awards for his service. Richard graduated from Bellwood Antis, HS and attended Penn State before joining the Navy in 1969. The Navy sent Richard to MM “A”, Nuclear Power, and Nuclear Chemistry schools. He has been a member of the VA system since 1983 when his arthritis began to affect his life. Richard has an artificial hip, arthritic joints, and spinal stenosis. Richard hopes to see you at the Walk on May 30.
