Lawrence R. Inserra, Jr. is Chairman & CEO of Inserra Supermarkets, Inc., one of the largest family-owned and operated supermarket chains in the metropolitan area with 23 ShopRite Stores and 2 PriceRite Markets in New Jersey and New York.
Larry was born in Newark and raised in Rutherford, NJ. He graduated from Lehigh University with a Bachelor of Science degree in business and economics. In addition to his family business accomplishments, Larry serves on the boards of several charity and business organizations.
Larry and his wife Inez currently reside in Mahwah, NJ.

When Meghan was first diagnosed at age 4, everyone thought that that was the end of all of Meghan’s activity, especially dancing. Now at age 16, she can dance, run, and march right alongside my friends. Arthritis has never and will never define me, and she hopes as Teen Honoree she can help spread that message to all the other kids facing that diagnosis.

Aalia’s a kind, caring & sweet 5-year-old. When Aalia began walking, she limped with swelling in her knee. At 15 months old, after several visits with different medical specialists, she was diagnosed with juvenile idiopathic arthritis and uveitis.
Aalia’s upbeat, lives a normal childhood. She’s social butterfly who loves playing with other kids. She makes friends with everyone. She loves her rheumatology team & is quite the goofball, even with her doctors. She tolerates injections but doesn’t like eye drops!
Aalia enjoys swimming. Her ideal vacation must include pools or beaches! She is creative and loves coloring and decorating. She even taught herself to draw via YouTube!
