2019 Jingle Bell Run Honorees

Nora Stevens
Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis
Youth Honoree

Nora was diagnosed when she was just 17 months old. She had begun walking shortly after turning 1 years old. However, one day when her parents went to pick her up from daycare, her knee was swollen and she refused to walk around. After many doctor appointments and tests, we were referred to Dr. Cartwright and she was diagnosed with juvenile idiopathic arthritis (JIA). Nora continues to fight arthritis today, but never lets it get her down.

Nora is very independent. She loves to conquer any challenge and she approaches JIA in the same way. She loved meeting other people with arthritis this summer at camp JAM. Nora is a strong girl and she can do anything she puts her mind to. Nora is truly an arthritis warrior!
