The Arthritis Foundation in near and dear to the hearts of Brittany and her family. Lilly has an amazing attitude and is a great role model, inspiring those around her with her beautiful smile.

Brittany works with many of the Barnes & Thornburg offices across the country to fundraise for the Arthritis Foundation’s Jingle Bell Run through Barnes & Thornburg’s National Jingle Bell Run team. Brittany and her family hope to raise awareness about arthritis and funds for the Arthritis Foundation, and to inform the world that kids can get arthritis too.

Ashlee Trammell

Youth Honoree

Ashlee was diagnosed with juvenile arthritis (JA) on July 27, 2017. She started having high fevers after she was stung by three wasps at her 6th birthday party. It took over a year for a diagnosis. She had 35 joints affected from her neck to her toes with her hands being the worst when she got her diagnosis. She started four different medications right away. By the following June she was able to enjoy a vacation to Ormond Beach, Florida with minor pain. She now educates people about juvenile idiopathic arthritis (JIA) and the different medications she takes. She has educated her teachers and peers about how JIA affects her and how her medications affect her. She has a passion for cooking and wants to be the next Kids Baking Champion.
