Dr. Marc Hirsh
Rheumatology Medical Honoree

As President-Elect of the Palm Beach County Medical Society and current Membership Chair of the Florida Medical Association, giving back to his medical community is Dr. Marc J Hirsh’s focus.  For nearly a decade, Dr. Hirsh has pledged to help the Arthritis Foundation by contributing his time and fundraising efforts to support the needs of people living with arthritis. As the Palm Beach County Arthritis Foundation’s Rheumatology Medical Honoree, he is devoted to raising local awareness to fight and cure the nation’s #1 cause of disability.

Born and raised in Miami, Florida, Dr. Hirsh graduated Phi Beta Kappa with his Bachelor of Science degree and medical degree from the University of Florida. After an internship at Northwestern University in Chicago, he completed residency in internal medicine at Jackson Memorial Hospital, University of Miami. He served on the faculty for one year as Chief Resident before completing his sub-specialty training in rheumatology at the University of Miami.

Since 2003, Dr. Hirsh has had a successful South Florida private practice in Rheumatology. He is a board-certified rheumatologist and a Fellow of both the American College of Physicians and American College of Rheumatology.

Dr. Hirsh is dedicated to the integrity of ultrasound in medicine. He is a nationally recognized musculoskeletal ultrasound instructor involved in the education of other physicians in various specialties including orthopedics, pain management, physiatry and rheumatology. With the use of ultrasound for diagnostic and advanced techniques like ultrasound-guided cortisone injections and ultrasound-guided PRP injections, Dr. Hirsh has helped provide relief for many people.

Dr. Elvis Grandic is a fellowship trained specialist in minimal invasive hip and knee replacement. With a focus on soft tissue preservation and rapid recovery, he provides the latest state of the art hip and knee reconstructive surgery in the region. 

Dr. Grandic is being honored as the 2018 Orthopaedic Medical Honoree at the Palm Beach County Walk to Cure Arthritis because of his dedication to helping change the lives of patients faced with pain and limitation because of joint damage from their arthritis. He is a Champion of Yes for his patients with arthritis. Whether it is non-operative conservative management, arthroscopy, tissue sparing joint replacement or complex revision surgery, Dr. Grandic’s goal is to combine cutting edge technology and techniques to provide patients the best orthopedic care possible. He aims to meet patient’s individual needs through comprehensive evaluation and treatment designed to help them achieve an active and pain free lifestyle.

Dr. Grandic received his Baccalaureate of Science degree in Biochemistry from the State University of New York at Stony Brook. He received his Medical Doctorate from Upstate Medical University in Syracuse New York where he graduated Cum Laude. He was inducted into Alpha Omega Alpha, an elite national medical honor society. 

Dr. Grandic continued his medical training at Upstate Medical University completing his Orthopaedic Residency under the guidance of one of the pioneers of joint replacement, Dr. David Murray. Dr. Grandic was awarded the prestigious Otto E. Aufranc Fellowship in Adult Reconstructive Surgery at the world- renowned New England Baptist Hospital— part of the Harvard care group in Boston, Massachusetts. 

Dr. Grandic is Board Certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons.
