Young Adult Honoree

Sami is 18 years old and was diagnosed with juvenile arthritis (JA) when she was 4, then uveitis at 5 and celiac disease at 15. She has only known life with JA and has arthritis in 23 joints. Sami has had 3 knee surgeries, a major eye surgery with lens replacement, and countless steroid injections.

She’s will be graduating in 2023 with VPA Honors in Musical Theatre. She’s a member of the National Thespian Society as well as Link Crew. After high school Sami is hoping to study Criminology. She is proud to be serving as the Young Adult Honoree for the North Port Jingle Bell Run!
