Carson Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis Child Honoree When Carson was four years old, a swollen ankle caused challenges with walking and other activities. After a few blood draws, two MRIs, and multiple specialist visits, the diagnosis came - juvenile idiopathic arthritis (JIA). Carson’s pediatric rheumatologist helped navigate the new diagnosis and she began treatment. She handles her JIA diagnosis with bravery and grace. She takes shots at home to help her joints stay healthy and has regular checkups with her pediatric rheumatologist at Arkansas Children’s Northwest. Thanks to the medication, Carson enjoys an active lifestyle and participates in many activities with her peers. The Huddleston family is grateful for donors and activists like you who help make a difference. |
