2022 Walk to Cure Arthritis Honorees

Robinson Agresto
Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis
Teen Honoree

Robinson Agresto is a 15-year-old freshman. Diagnosed with juvenile idiopathic arthritis (JIA) at the age of 12, it’s felt like a long road to get where he is today. Diagnosis took a while, and in the meantime, the experiences he had with the medical community were sometimes really tough. He was told that he was faking and that the pain wasn’t real. He tried to keep up with the sports he was involved in. It was challenging for peers, fellow athletes, and even adults as coaches to understand how things had changed for him. Sometimes, he felt like giving up. He knows now that when he chooses to follow through, it almost always ends up in his favor - mostly because he has an amazing, kind and loving family that is there to support him along the way.
