Alexis Sandler Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis Child Honoree Alexis is 10 years old and loves to cook, dance, do art projects, play piano, and participate in Girl Scouts. After riding down a slide, she started having arm pain, which led to many x-rays and an MRI, and she was finally diagnosed with juvenile idiopathic arthritis at the age of 7. Alexis enjoys walking as part of her treatment regimen. She loves going to Camp Boggy Creek. Alexis and her family look forward to the day when she is pain-free. She appreciates the love and support from her family and friends. Her goal is to raise money for the Arthritis Foundation to find a cure so other kids do not have to feel the pain and to one day be a pediatric rheumatologist.
