Haley Bass Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis Child Honoree Haley started complaining about her feet hurting, her mom became concerned, having an autoimmune disease herself. In 2019, the day after Christmas, Haley was diagnosed with juvenile idiopathic arthritis (JIA). At its worst, Haley could not walk or get out of bed without help. Today, thanks to medications and an anti-inflammatory diet, Haley is doing great! She is starting her path towards medicated remission. Haley loves competitive cheerleading, seeing friends, dancing, visiting her Grandpa’s farm, animals, and fashion. Haley has a compassionate heart and loves helping others. She says one day she wants to help those who are going through the same thing she is. |
