2021 Jingle Bell Run Honorees

Katelyn Pack
Rheumatoid Arthritis
Adult Honoree

37-year-old Katelyn Pack is no stranger to arthritis. Having watched her sister Kelly struggle with juvenile idiopathic arthritis as a child, Katelyn knew the telltale signs when symptoms appeared and was subsequently diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis at the age of 21.

The 2020 Jingle Bell Run Adult honoree will be participating with her husband Sean and two children in the Arthritis Foundation’s Michigan virtual run this December. “For someone who is very active, I’m very lucky to continue doing what I love to do,” she explains. Join Katelyn by registering today for the Jingle Bell Run Michigan!

Katie Maxwell
Rheumatoid Arthritis
Teen Honoree

Katie Maxwell won’t let her arthritis stop her from getting her jingle on this winter. She was a very active athlete, playing basketball, volleyball, and running track. Everything changed when she was diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis at the age of 12. It hasn’t been easy, but she has made a lot of progress and stays optimistic that she will continue to get better. She has a message for kids just starting this journey, “I know how scary it is, not knowing if the pain will ever go away, so I just want them to know things can improve.” Please join Katie by registering today for the Arthritis Foundation’s Jingle Bell Run Michigan!
