Ashley Nelson, of Norman, mom to twins, returned from the hospital in early 2020 with the aid of a walker. With grit and determination, she decided to complete a 5k race by years’ end.

Ashley credits her doctors, and the support of her family and friends, to living a full life with rheumatoid arthritis, eosinophilic granulomatosis with polyangiitis, and asthma. She began a couch-to-5k program and completed several 5ks by years’ end.
