  1. What health and safety measures will be in place?
    Please visit the Covid Safety page on the website for detailed information on safety measures in place.
  2. How much does it cost to run?
    Fees are the same for team members and participants. Click on Event Information for the schedule of fees and deadlines.
  3. When does registration close?
    Online registration closes on Dec. 11 at 11:59pm but you will still be able to register on the day of the event.
  4. What do I get for my registration fee?
    All participants will receive a Jingle Bell Run short sleeve t-shirt and a medal.
  5. How do I get my packet?
    The Jingle Bell Run Volunteer Committee is trying to schedule off-site, pre-event packet pickup opportunities. Once scheduled, these pre-event pickup locations will be posted on this Event Information tab. 
  6. What if I can't make it to packet pickup?
    There will be a limited number of packets available for pick up in-person on event day at Washington Park.
  7. Is there gear check?
    In an effort to ensure continued COVID-19 safety precautions are maintained, we will not offer bag check areas at Washington Park on event day. We recommend you make arrangements to leave your personal belongings in your locked vehicle or keep them on your person in a pocket or waist/fanny pack.
  8. Are there awards for top finishers?
    Yes. There will be awards for top teams, Individual and team fundraisers. 
  9. Are dogs allowed and can my dog run with me?
    Dogs are welcome.
  10. Can I change my shirt size?
    Bring your t-shirt to any of the packet pickup locations or to the Packet Pickup tend on race day to switch out your t-shirt size.
  11. Is there a kids run?
    There is no kids run this year. We are also not having a kids area due Covid Safety measures. However, there is a playground close to the Expo area. Parents are responsible for watching their children at all times when on the playground.
  12. Is there a costume contest?
    Yes. We encourage you to dress up in your favorite and most creative holiday costumes. You can include your dogs and kids in the costume fun! Prizes will be awarded in each category (best adult costume, best kid’s costume, and best dog costume). If you would like to participate in the costume contest show up at the stage area following the race for judging.
  13. What is the course?
    Start times will be staggered into small groups. Individuals are required to keep their masks/face coverings up over their nose and mouth while waiting their turn to start.
  14. Where do I park?
    Parking is available throughout the Washington Park neighborhood on a first come, first served basis. We hope to have designated Jingle Bell Run parking at the local high school as we have done in the past. More specific parking information will be added to the Event Information page of this website and through our Arthritis Foundation social media channels as we get closer to the event.
  15. I can't make it to the race, can I get a refund? 
    No, registration fees cannot be refunded or transferred. Your fundraising dollars are put to work immediately and enable The Arthritis Foundation to continue critical programs and services in our community.
  16. I registered for the wrong event. Can you move me to a different Jingle Bell Run event? 
    Yes, just reach out to Barbara Abbey at [email protected] or the Arthritis Foundation helpline at 800-283-7800 and we can move your registration.
  17. What happens if it rains or snows?
    Jingle Bell Run is rain, snow, or shine! Volunteers and Arthritis Foundation staff will be monitoring the weather leading up to and including event day and will post any updates on this Event Information page and through social media. Our volunteers are committed to make the in-person event as enjoyable as possible, regardless of the weather.
  18. Is there specific clothing for running in cold weather?
    Most runners wear long-sleeves and ankle-length running pants in the winter. Our best advice is to wear layers to enable you to remove or add layers as necessary to ensure your comfort, good health and good running.
