Hamilton was diagnosed with JIA when she was 6 years old. One month later, she received the additional diagnosis of Uveitis, which is arthritis in her eyes. Kids with arthritis take shots, eye drops, infusions, have fluid drainage, explain to friends why they randomly hurt, undergo MRIs and x rays, see countless medical people, are very familiar with ice or heat packs, and taking it easy (and that isn’t the whole list). She fits these things into her days while trying to live her best life! Her best life includes running, painting, reading, & playing video games. She loves all things colorful, stuffed animals, family & fun!
