Dr. Soscia is a lifelong Rhode Island resident and completed her specialty training in rheumatology at the University of Massachusetts Memorial Medical Center after completing medical school at The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University. She worked in academics at UMass Memorial as an Associate Professor of medicine and currently serves as Medical Director for Lifespan Physician Group, Division of Rheumatology. She is a long time, dedicated supporter of the Arthritis Foundation, its mission and the people it serves. Together, she hopes to help find the cure.

Eight-year old Ton’Nisha Terry was diagnosed with juvenile idiopathic arthritis (JIA) when she was just six years old. It took a while for a correct diagnosis to happen, but with the perseverance of her mom and dad, it was finally confirmed. The Terry family attended their first Arthritis Foundation Juvenile Arthritis program in the spring of 2019 and left knowing that there were other families dealing with similar circumstances. Ton’Nisha met other kids who were just like her. She now realizes that, while she may need to take breaks during her favorite activities, she can still do the things she loves.
