Hi! My name is Ocean Star Pate and I’m 11 years old. I was diagnosed with Idiopathic Juvenile Arthritis at the age of seven. It’s been tough dealing with the pain of arthritis and realizing that people just don’t understand it. Thanks to the Arthritis Foundation, I have attended summer camp for several years now where I have learned a lot about life with arthritis and have made some great friends for life. I enjoy acting, dancing and my swim team. Sometimes it hurts when I overdo it, but I can’t stop being a kid! Please support the Arthritis Foundation and help find a cure!
Stacy Courtnay was diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis at the age of 25. After a long journey with the disease, she finally found her "miracle drug" and has been thriving for the last 8 years. She became involved with the Arthritis Foundation to support and to give hope to others like her. Stacy is the key mission volunteer in Georgia, serving as their Network Leader for the Live Yes Network. She is an advocate on the state and national level, a member of the Patient Leadership Council and Local Leadership Board. Stacy is not only a Warrior, but a wife and mother. She has been married to her husband, Taylor, for 17 years, and they have one son, John, who is 12.
