2019 Jingle Bell Run Honorees

Glen Harbin
Fibromyalgia
Adult Honoree

For years, Glenn Harbin had unexplained pain. Everyday activities became challenging due to aching and tenderness in his muscles. In 2014, Glenn was diagnosed with fibromyalgia.

Through the Arthritis Foundation, Glenn found the information and resources he needed to understand and cope with his arthritis. Glenn has participated in the Jingle Bell Run for the past six years with his team Fleet Feet Bloomington. He runs with Fleet Feet a couple times a week and enjoys the community that they and the Arthritis Foundation have given him. S

ince his diagnosis, Glenn was able to make informed decisions to alleviate his pain with his healthcare provider. Knowing the cause of his suffering brought relief. Also, Glenn took steps to become more active. One of the hardest things to do when you’re in pain is physical activity, but Glenn has turned running into a positive coping activity. Along with running, he enjoys hiking, swimming, and camping.

Glenn is the Adult Honoree for this year’s Jingle Bell Run in Bloomington, IL. Through his involvement, he hopes to promote awareness and give back to the Arthritis Foundation for helping him. Join Glenn in his fight against arthritis, register or donate today!
