Katie Wilsey
Juvenile Arthritis
Youth Honoree

I am Katie Wilsey and I am 10 years old. I was diagnosed at age 4 with Juvenile. Arthritis. My arthritis is the kind that can affect my eyes and lots of my joints. I have been on all kinds of medications over the last 6 years, including weekly shots, and now monthly infusions.

I am pretty lucky as far as having arthritis goes. I have God, a great family, great teachers, great coaches, and great friends. I have a doctor (some kids don't).  I have good insurance (some parents don't).  I can do whatever I want like soccer, swimming, cheer, karate, and running even though I do have pain and feel bad from the medicines sometimes.

I am thankful for the Arthritis Foundation for all they do for me and other people with arthritis. Our team, the Wilsey Warriors, want to give back to the Arthritis Foundation so kids with arthritis can get the support they need and hopefully someone can find a cure.  Please help us support the Arthritis Foundation by joining my team! Thank you.
