Heather Wright CEO, The Pain Treatment Center of the Bluegrass Corporate Chair Heather Wright understands the realities of living with arthritis. As CEO of The Pain Treatment Center of the Bluegrass, she and her staff work daily to help patients living with arthritis manage their chronic pain. Personally, both Heather and her mother are living with osteoarthritis and Heather’s aunt had rheumatoid arthritis as well. A Lexington native, Heather received a law degree from the University of Kentucky in 1998 and went on to start her career at The Pain Treatment Center of the Bluegrass as the Director of Human Resources and In-house Counsel. In 2002 Heather was named CEO of the company and has held the position ever since. The Pain Treatment Center of the Bluegrass uses interventional techniques/minimally invasive procedures, physical therapy, and medication management to help patients take control of their pain. They also provide behavioral medicine specialists to help patients cope with their pain and the daily challenges that can result from chronic pain, like depression, anxiety and a limited lifestyle. “Arthritis affects your ability to do many activities, including simple every day activities,” says Heather. “With pain control, patients are able to resume those activities.” Heather is excited to partner with the Arthritis Foundation and serve as this year’s Corporate Chair. “I’m happy to work with an organization that educates so many Kentuckians, including our patients who are dealing with the effects of osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis,” says Heather. “I hope to raise awareness about the devastating effects arthritis can have on individuals and raise critical funds to help the Arthritis Foundation invest in research so we can one day find a cure.” Join Heather and the Pain Treatment Center team at this year’s event as we walk to CURE arthritis! |
